The Ministry of Education has announced the closure of schools in the Petaling district following the increase of Covid-19 cases in the area. Designated as a Red Zone by the Ministry of Health, schools are set to begin closure from 12th October 2020 to 25th October 2020.

A total of 298 schools are involved in the closure which includes primary and secondary schools under the Ministry of Education and private schools registered under the Ministry of Education.

The full list of schools are accessible and will be updated by the Ministry of Education from time to time via www.moe.gov.my.

Vocational schools with hostels are also part of the Ministry of Education’s closure, with recommendations made for parents or guardians to bring students home during the closure. Students who opt to stay in hostels will come under the supervision of hostel wardens, and provisions for food and beverages will be covered by the schools.
