Yesterday (6 November), it was reported that a 6-year-old boy, who has autism and is non-verbal, had gone missing for more than a day near his home in Damansara Damai, Selangor.
Unfortunately, late last night, it was announced that the boy was found dead by a stream merely 200 meters from his house, while still wearing his school attire.
According to a Facebook post by Viral Media Johor, the poor little boy’s body was found at about 10pm.
They wrote, “6-year-old brother Zayn Rayyan, who had gone missing since yesterday afternoon (Tuesday) was found dead.”
“He was discovered at around 10pm (Wednesday) at a stream that is located about 200 meters from Apartment Idaman, the location where he went missing. Our condolences and we pray for patience for his mother and his family.”
Based on a report by Buletin TV3, 40 police officers and 60 residents in the area had banded together during the search for the boy.
They were later joined by Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) personnel, Malaysia Civil Defence Force (APM) personnel and a K-9 unit.
Multiple posts have since also gone up on social media, showcasing Zayn Rayan’s father fainting upon hearing the news of his son’s demise.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this trying time.
