Sometimes, accidents happen regardless of how careful you are. Highways can be 1 of the deadliest places with many reckless drivers behaving like they own the road. However, a recent accident on the NKVE highway nearly put a Malaysian woman’s life at risk.
In her Twitter post, Fatiha said that a lorry that was carrying metal rods did not cover the tarp properly, and her nightmare came true.
“1 of the metal rods penetrated my car’s windshield when I was driving on the highway.”
That was a Final Destination kind of moment right there but fortunately, Fatiha did not sustain any injury. Unfortunately, Fatiha’s car is not equipped with a dashcam, so she sought help on Twitter and asked the public to reach out to her in case they have any information about the lorry’s plate number. Here’s the information that she shared which (hopefully) may be helpful.
Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Fatiha said that she sent her car for a repair, which cost of RM400. The matter had also reached the attention of PLUS, who contacted Fatiha via Twitter.
“I reported the matter to the police and PLUS, in hopes to get a claim. However, with how things are going, it seems unlikely,” she explained.
In some cases, windshield damages are claimable from the insurance but unfortunately, that’s not the case for Fatiha because her car’s insurance does not cover the windshield damages.
“So I’m down to a RM400 debt for the next few months. 1 of those bad days and months I suppose,” Fatiha told WORLD OF BUZZ.
She also expressed her gratitude for NOT sustaining any injury from the accident and said, “I’m very lucky to have walked out alive and uninjured”. With her tweet going viral, Fatiha hopes that it will get the necessary attention and caution other road users.

Sadly, this can happen to anyone, anywhere, and anytime. What’s worse is that not everyone may be as lucky as Fatiha. Have you encountered a similar experience on the road?
