According to the Melaka State Housing, Local Government and Environment Committee Chairman Datuk Zaidi Attan, the state will enforce a ruling that prohibits parents from bringing the children to Ramadan and Aidilfitri bazaars starting next week, to prevent them from Covid-19 infection.

Stating that the move was in line with the Health Ministry’s advice, a total of 62 Ramadan and Aidilfitri bazaar organisers will join in the effort by complying with and implementing standard operating procedures to put precautions in place.

Currently, the Health Ministry is advising parents to avoid bringing their children to crowded places especially those who have no been vaccinated against Covid-19.

Netizens commenting on the move, voiced their agreement on the matter.
