Be careful, guys!

Maybank’s Sri Petaling branch is now closed due to possible exposure from a positive Covid-19 case. In a statement that was displayed on the branch, it was said that the premise will be undergoing a thorough “deep-cleansing owing to possible exposure to a case involving an external person.”

The notice said that the cleansing was part of the bank’s stringent precautionary measures to protect the health and wellbeing of customers and employees at all times.

The bank then advised all customers to perform their transactions using online or mobile banking channels or visit the next nearest Maybank branch at Jalan Kuchai Lama to carry out physical transactions.

“Maybank is working closely with the relevant health authorities to ensure that all health and safety protocols are adhered to for this case,” read the statement. “We apologise for any inconvenience caused and assure you that the safety of our customers and employees remains our utmost priority.”

If you’ve been around the affected area over the past couple of days and are experiencing symptoms, do get yourself checked out! Stay alert and stay safe, everybody.
