I said it before and I’ll say it again, Asians don’t raisin.
For those of you who don’t understand what that means, it refers to the fact that Asians (or at least those who take really good care of their bodies) literally don’t age.
This eventually becomes a huge advantage for Asians who want to become parents, as many would believe that their kids are their siblings instead. However, things can take a turn for the awkward if outsiders start mistaking your kid for your significant other.
This became the case for Jonathan Nyugen, who posted photos of himself with his mother onto the popular Facebook group, Subtle Asian Traits.

He captioned his posting with, “Having a young Asian mum is great until you see someone your age shooting their shot at her.”
He even posted a photo where his cool mom beat him at drinking. He shared:
“Me: I’m done drinking for the night.
“Mom: we are in Hawaii. Don’t be weak.
“Me: x_x….. drinks”
Who knows, those could be shots of water from the fountain of youth instead of liquor.
Many netizens, upon first seeing the pictures, immediately assumed that they were a couple.

However, once they realised that she is his mother, the posting completely blew up!

Netizens wanted the answer as to how she stayed looking so young even after having a child (because we clearly aged our parents, didn’t we) so that they could follow in her footsteps.

Jonathan has yet to respond on what exactly is helping his mother stay so youthful, but he clearly didn’t expect his posting to have gotten the attention that it did, since it did garner over 14,000 reactions and 7,600 comments. He took to his Facebook page to share the fact that his mother does not know about the posting.
“Didn’t expect this. My mum is going to go wild,” he wrote.
