A 59-year-old man in Nebraska was bring rushed him to the hospital because he was suffering from arrhythmia, according to reports.

*Note: In case you didn’t know what arrhythmia is, it’s a condition where your heartbeat is irregular. And this man had a heart rate of 200 beats per minute! (That’s twice as fast as the normal rate!)

While this ambulance was on the way to the hospital, they had to go through an 11km stretch where the road was full of potholes. The bumpy journey lasted for 20 minutes, and that’s when the man’s heart rate gradually stabilised.

For cases where medicinal drugs aren’t effective, doctors would carry out a procedure called electrical cardioversion where they provide short-acting anaesthesia, and then deliver an electrical shock to your chest wall, allowing a normal rhythm to restart, according to WebMD.

And in this particular case, the bumpiness of the road somehow treated the man in a similar way!

Anyway guys, if you’re experiencing any heart discomfort, be sure to check it out at the hospital and don’t try driving over potholes ok?
