The famous “Baltimore Batman” or “Route 29 Batman” was killed in a car accident yesterday.

The ex business man spent hundreds of thousands on costume and memorabilia to cheer up sick children in the hospital. He even got his very own bat mobile, a black Lambo!

Lenny Robinson Batman

Lenny B. Robinson felt something was wrong with his car engine so he pulled over on an unlit stretch of Interstate 70 near Hagerstown. The people he had just met parked behind him, turning their emergency lights on. He stopped at the middle lane, though it was still a relative fast lane.

A Toyota Camry slammed into the Batmobile, propelling the car forward and crashing into his body. Robinson, 51, died at the scene.

Scott Robinson said, “He was my brother, my business partner, my best friend. He touched a lot of lives and made a lot of kids smile. That’s all he wanted to do.”

Batman became famous three years ago after he was pulled over by Montgomery County police on Route 29 in a black Lamborghini and full superhero garb.

Here’s the video:

Back in 2012, Robinson said, “Batman is the only superhero that doesn’t have superpowers. He’s naturally a superhero. Kids can relate to me a lot better.”

Robinson originally began his Batman career because his son Brandon loved Batman as a child. “I used to call him Batman. His obsession became my obsession”.

He was particularly taking part in Hope for Henry, a D.C. organization that helps sick children.

His funeral is scheduled for Wednesday in Owings Mill, Md.
