Do you split the bill in your marriage, even regarding the tiniest detail possible?

A woman in Taiwan recently vented her emotions on the Facebook group @毒姑九賤婆媳討論區 and revealed that the man she has been married to for 30 years chose to split the bill when she took JUST 1 bite of his ice cream.

In their 30 years of marriage, the woman said every bill is split.

“We have always lived this way, including honeymoons, overseas travel, childbirth, and insurance premiums in which we will split the bills.”

It wasn’t a problem for the first three decades until the pair recently went on a trip, and the man brought along his parents. The man generously bears all expenses for his parents while only haggling over his wife.

The ice cream incident prompted the woman to cancel their upcoming trip to Macau, which was scheduled for October. Her husband did not like that.

“He said my last minute changes has caused him to bear the loss of the car rental and accommodation to the airport alone!”

In case you’re wondering how much the pair make, the woman pointed out that her annual income was as high as NT$600,000 (approximately RM80,000), while her husband’s income was 3 times hers.

“When she gave birth to my second child, I paid for the pregnancy-maintaining injections and water and electricity costs myself, and my husband was absent the entire time and did not contribute!”
