A man in Central China grabbed the attention of many netizens after he collapsed from a heart attack at a railway station in Changsha, Hunan province, on February 4.

According to the South China Morning Post, which quoted a report from the Xiaoxiang Morning Herald,  the incident happened on the last day of the eight-day Spring Festival holiday when the man suddenly collapsed on the platform while waiting to board a train.

“I need to rush to work”

Several railway station staff and a doctor from a major local health center rushed to his aid. The unidentified man, in his 40s, regained consciousness after about 20 minutes.

To everyone’s surprise, the first thing he said was,

“I need to take the high-speed train to go to work.”

He also reassured the doctor, saying he didn’t think it was necessary to go to the hospital.

The man finally agreed to go to the hospital

The on-scene doctor told the man he might have suffered injuries from the fall, meaning it was vital for him to have a physical check-up at the hospital.

After some convincing, the man agreed to board the ambulance.
