Hanging up above is a really intriguing sign that says, “Exit Reality” that would catch anyone’s attention. Wonder what’s happening inside huh?
Well, that cool place is none other than The Rift, which is actually Malaysia’s first ever hybrid Virtual Reality (VR) / Augmented Reality (AR) theme park! Are you ready to blur the lines between the virtual and physical world?
They have only just opened recently and WORLD OF BUZZ was there for their media preview to get a taste of an out-of-this-world experience like no other! So we can break it down for you on what they actually have in store!
The cool theme park boasts up to 24 different reality-altering, physically-challenging experiences from virtual free-roaming shooters, to physical vertigo-inducing wall climbs and free-falls for thrill-seekers. It goes without saying that you’d be given some cool VR headsets to immerse yourself in the experience.

Here are 5 of the attractions you can knock your socks off at:
Zero Latency – Survive a zombie apocalypse in Outbreak or Zombie Survival, solve puzzles in Engineerium, or organize a rescue mission to extract survivors from a spaceship in Singularity.
Motion Blaster – Destroy predators at all costs in virtual reality and save the world!
RaceRoom – This one is for the pro drivers out there as you can challenge yourself here with the state-of-art racing game complete with surreal sounds and effects.
Hurricane VR – Not for the faint of heart, this ride takes you on an exhilarating flying journey through a virtual universe. It was a really awesome ride!
HADO Malaysia – A combination of Augmented Reality (AR) technology, motion sensor, head-mounted device and smartphone which puts you right in the middle of a video game – prepare to battle your opponents and rise up as champions!
If you’ve never played with VR/AR before, then boy, would it be an experience! It got our hearts pumping like mad as we ran around trying to save the world. Some of these games require team effort where you would need to battle another team to emerge the champion, so it makes for a great bonding session with your friends or colleagues too!
Plus, they are having opening promotional packages now so if you want to try it, you better hurry!
