We’re sure you have played Among Us at least once by now! It is certainly a very fun game but we’re always so bad at being the impostor!

A post has gone viral on Twitter detailing how an English teacher in Malaysia has asked her students to play Among Us as an assignment. The teacher and student wish to remain anonymous but have allowed us to share the assignment here!

The teacher starts off by asking the students to play among their classmates. The gameplay needs to be recorded and the video will need to be sent to her for a review.

The students will need to show that they are using their real name in-game and all of them will need to participate in the discussion by agreeing/disagreeing/negotiating or giving out one’s opinion in English.

The assignment doesn’t end there as the teacher has asked them to submit a short essay of 100 words to her individually. The essay is about the player’s character in-game, their strategy on how to survive and what they would do next time to if they didn’t survive.

The student has clarified that all of her classmates were players of the game before the assignment was given.

This assignment sounds like a dream! We would also like to commend the teacher for being so creative with her students’ learning! Would you want to do this assignment?

During these unprecedented times, what creative ways have your lecturers or teachers employed to make learning fruitful and yet fun? Let us know!
