A Malaysian man has expressed his concerns online after discovering a large group of youngsters carrying out rempit (illegal racing) activities directly outside his home in Ayer Molek, Melaka.

Taking to his Facebook page, Izami Gadget shared footage of the group gathering outside his house. In the video, several youths are seen removing their motorcycle number plates before fleeing once they realised they were being filmed.

He wrote, “It’s getting more and more worrying. Some were loud, without number plates. Some were wearing masks like robbers. When I went out to record them, those who were wearing masks and didn’t have number plates revved even louder, as though they were deliberately provoking the surrounding residents.”

“A police report has been filed. What else can I do, YB Mohd Noor Helmy (Duyong Assemblyman)? I request that parents who recognise their children and motorcycles in this video monitor their children’s whereabouts and activities.”

The provocation continues

In the comments section, Izami Gadget shared CCTV footage showing the group returning to the front of his house shortly after they had initially fled. Rather than dispersing, they continued to rev their engines in an apparent act of defiance.

“After I entered my house, they came back and purposely revved their motorcycles in front of my gate. More arrived at 9:51 PM,” he said.
