Here’s one story that proves there’s hope for everyone!
Earlier this week, a student named Wan Mohamed Syafuan, took to Facebook to share that he recently graduated with a 3.0 GPA in his masters program.
That’s certainly an impressive feat, but what makes his story even more incredible was that he only got 1A in his SPM exams!
In his Facebook post, Syafuan talks about the struggles he faced after he continued his studies in a polytechnical school. Throughout his three years in the diploma program, he gained a lot of useful experiences.
Sadly, those experiences meant nothing to companies he applied to after he graduated. He was made fun of by potential employers for his poor grades during interviews, which made him even more demotivated.
However, when he decided to enrol in UiTM to further his studies even more, that’s when things turned around for him. At first of course, it wasn’t easy for him as he described getting only a 2.50 GPA.
He buckled down and worked harder during his final 2 semesters, and managed to get a good CGPA of 3.0 (Second Class Upper) in the end!
This motivated him to continue his studies to Masters level, where he also faced his fair share of challenges. Amazingly enough, he persevered and graduated with an impressive CGPA of 3.50!
And he’s not planning on stopping!
Syafuan is currently working on getting his PhD while working as a teaching assistant at his current university.
At the end of his post, he says that he has proven that any “weak student” can achieve their goals and be successful despite what others may think.
We wish Syafuan all the best in his studies and congratulate him on his amazing achievements!
