Around 4.00am, the man who was sleeping in the living room woke up and made his way to the bedroom, with the intention of getting intimate with his wife. However, she rebuffed his advances and he flew into a rage. Her husband proceeded to pull out the alleged murder weapon, a samurai sword to slash and stab her. He slashed her right arm and proceeded to stab her three times before fleeing their house at Kampung Pinggir Bakau.

The couple who have eight children aged between 22 and 13, rushed their heavily injured mother to the hospital. Sadly, Norminah was pronounced dead on arrival at the Semporna district hospital. The police was alerted to the crime when the neighbours made a police report after the incident.

Investigations and a thorough search for the suspect is currently ongoing. Semporna OCPD Supt Peter Umbuas said,

“We have launched a hunt for the suspect who fled the house with a bag containing the documents of his children.”

Hopefully the police can locate the suspect ASAP and serve justice on behalf of Norminah Bollok.
