Malaysians share their 2 cents on the matter
In the comments section, Malaysians were rather divisive about the social media influencer applying makeup before going into labour, with some criticising it while others think there’s nothing wrong about doing so.
Several female commenters shared their own experience of going into labour, with some also saying that they also put on makeup before giving birth. One commenter said that she put on makeup so that she wouldn’t look so pale after safely delivering the baby.
Moreover, one commenter said that she also applied makeup before giving birth, and it distracted her from the pain.
However, some commenters weren’t impressed by the action, saying that women going into labour should focus on praying to God as they wouldn’t know if there would be any fatal complications when giving birth.
Besides that, one Malaysian said that having makeup on your face is dangerous when giving birth, as the doctor wouldn’t notice if your face is pale, which is a sign of significant loss of blood.
Another commenter echoed the same sentiment, saying that government hospitals forbid expecting mothers from putting on makeup as they couldn’t tell whether there was a problem during the operation.
