While Malaysia is not clear from the Covid-19 virus yet, we are undeniably doing really well in curbing the spread of the virus in our country. In the past few weeks, we have seen several one-digit increases which shows that we are surely on our way to recovery!
As we enter a new month today (1 July), Malaysia has recorded ONE new Covid-19 case which is an import case. This means that there are NO local transmissions!
According to the Ministry of Health, 21 more patients have recovered bringing the total number of recoveries to 8,375. This brings the remaining active cases down to 144.

Four patients are currently in the intensive care unit with two needing breathing assistance while the death toll remains at 121 as of today.
As the government begins the reopening of many more sectors in the weeks and months to come, it is extremely crucial that we obey the standard operating procedures when we are out and about. We trust that all of you will keep your distance in crowded areas and remember to wear your mask at all times!
