Malaysia Records 563 New Positive Cases With 291 New Cases Reported In Sabah (12 Oct)

Malaysia has recorded a whopping 563 new Covid-19 cases as of 12 October 2020.

Of the total cases, 562 are local cases while one case is imported. Unfortunately, two new deaths have been recorded, raising the death toll to 159.

A majority of the new cases come from Sabah with 291 new cases and Penang’s prison Cluster Reman with 141 new cases. Meanwhile, Selangor records 69 new cases and KL reports 28 positive Covid-19 cases.

The breakdown of the remaining cases are as follows:

  • Penang – 141
  • Sabah – 291
  • Putrajaya – 2
  • Labuan – 2
  • Selangor – 69
  • Kuala Lumpur – 28
  • Perak – 4
  • Johor – 2
  • Sarawak – 1
  • Negri Sembilan – 12

In light of the most recent update which places KL, Putrajaya and Selangor under the CMCO, Malaysians are advised to remain vigilant and stay at home unless absolutely necessary.
