Malaysia made history recently when it managed to break the Guinness World Record by holding the “Largest Gathering in Spider-Man Costume” the world has ever seen.

According to a report by Harian Metro, this event took place on Saturday (June 3) at AEON Mall Bukit Tinggi, Klang, where 685 ‘Spider-Men’ of various ages and genders gathered wearing the Marvel character’s full costume.

This was in conjunction with the premiere of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.

The record was confirmed by a representative who is also the Official Guinness World Record Referee, Kazuyoshi at exactly 4:40pm.

During the event, all participants present were asked to remain in the event space provided for 5 minutes, thus breaking the previous record of a total of 601 participants in an event organised in India in December 2021.
