It’s part of Malay culture to lavish on wedding ceremonies. The bride and groom will go to great lengths to make the event stunning, so that it would be a memorable occasion. I mean, who doesn’t want an awesome once-in-a-lifetime wedding right?
One Malay wedding was definitely memorable, but not in the way they hoped.

Amin shared several pictures of his cousin’s solemnization ceremony on Twitter. Shortly after that, his tweet garnered criticisms from the public.

Despite the mixed opinions, thankfully there were more people who thought the wedding was beautiful and unique, and couldn’t stop admiring the beautiful interior.

Hence, the overall consensus is that the ceremony looked gorgeous, but it bears a strong resemblance to a church wedding. The place is seriously incredibly beautiful though!
Could some of these people be overreacting? Many pointed out that one of the biggest similarity is only the arrangement of chairs… Which you could easily find at a school assembly or a PIBG meeting anyway!
Anyway, we’re just glad that a mojority of the Malaysian netizens nicely said that the venue does resemble a Church wedding, but made sure to not kecam them.
