It is Ramadan, and the main attraction during the fasting month is, of course the countless bazaar hotspots offering almost endless possibilities.
However, in recent times, quality has definitely witnessed a drop, with more and more food stalls taking shortcuts, raising questions to the level of cleanliness and food safety.
Taking to social media, here is an example of one food stall doing just that.
Sharing the video via Facebook, netizen Raydaa Alrashidi shared her experience getting a little extra protein in her Nasi Air.
She writes: “There were many people getting their iftar at this restaurant.”
“This was the only restaurant that was available, a particular restaurant situated right in front of Pizza Kota Bharu.”
“Unfortunately, the fish was full of maggots. And when I informed the owner, he shrugged it off and ignored us.”
Ewwww!
Adding that she did not notice the maggots at first, she said that only after opening the fish did she find out that her fish was not safe for consumption.
The video which has garnered over 2.3k shares, saw netizens slamming the restaurateur for their shady business practices.
Let’s hope that the authorities will take a serious look into this matter.
