Have you seen the new HQ of the Malaysian Anti-corruption Commission (MACC)? It looks really cool to be honest!
The new MACC headquarters located in Presint 7, Putrajaya, was completely finished and handed over on July 21. The three-tower complex was specifically designed to cater to the agency’s operational needs and administration system.
Sitting on a 2.07-hectare site, the beautiful complex consists of block A, B and C with 14, 18 and 22 storeys respectively. The facilities are world-class as well!
Check out all these facilities they have!
- A 7-storey podium
- A multipurpose hall that can accommodate 1,000 people
- An auditorium with a capacity for 300 people
- Childcare centre
- Gymnasium
- Shooting simulation room
- Cafeteria
- Library
- Press conference room
Perhaps the most note-worthy thing about this huge complex is that it is the biggest anti-corruption complex in the world, complete with all the necessary facilities. Macam yes kan…
Our Prime Minister Dato’ Sri Najib Razak even described the building as “the pride of the government and rakyat“. It also proves that the government is willing to cooperate with MACC to fight against corruption and abuse of power. Good to hear that 🙂
“Corruption is a threat to the nation, our civilisation, society and our country’s future,” Najib said.
Besides, our beloved PM also announced that RM5 million will be allocated for MACC Yayasan Prihatin, which is a foundation formed to look after the welfare of MACC staff.
In the latest Corruption Perceptions Index, Malaysia was ranked 55th out of 176 countries. Let’s hope that with this new well-equipped headquarters that look amazing, MACC can step up their game against corruption, leading Malaysia to a more transparent country.
