Many of us grew up being clingy to a dirty pillow that we find hard to let go of despite the deteriorating condition and the smell (which makes it even tougher to throw it into the trash can). You dare touch someone’s dirty pillow, then it’s war.
In her TikTok post @innnnnn_tan, a loyal Malaysian woman shows how much a ‘bantal busuk’ means even when you’re a grown-up or a married person. Forget the condition of the pillow, it’s all about the smell that brings in an irreplaceable sentimental value. Intan’s ‘bantal busuk’ is barely a pillow now but merely a rag. An old cloth that is torn from a larger piece of the pillow.
We’re not bluffing, just look at the picture below.
Still, she is NOT letting the pillow go and in fact, she happily smells her pillow, and we’re sure those who grew up with one (or still have one) can relate to her! Based on the video, the condition of the pillow is beyond salvageable but there are just some things that you do not simply dispose of, regardless of the condition.
Despite being just a rag, Intan made it clear that she was nowhere near ready to let go of her ‘bantal busuk’. Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Intan said the condition of the pillow does not deter her will from keeping it with her, and she will continue to be attached to it.
“I really can’t imagine if my pillow is gone for real.”
When asked about how long has the pillow been with her, we were pretty shocked at the duration, and you probably will be, too.
“It has been with me since 1998. It’s been a long time,” Intan told WORLD OF BUZZ.
The pillow is 25 years old, and only a few years away from hitting the 3rd decade.
As of now, Intan also said that she has no plans to replace her ‘bantal busuk’, and has yet to buy a new one as a spare once the pillow is gone for good. You can watch the clip below to see how loyal and clingy Intan is to her pillow.

Do you still have your ‘bantal busuk’ with you? Do you see yourself keeping your bantal busuk that long?
