As we all know, many people were disappointed when the Olympic Council of Malaysia (OCM) unveiled the official Olympic attire for the Malaysian team.
Since then, many netizens have said that we should have our local designers make clothes for athletes who will represent our country, and that’s exactly what will happen!
According to ASTRO AWANI, the Malaysian team will have their opening ceremony clothes designed by Rizman Ruzaini, the designer who recently went viral for designing a red dress for Lady Gaga’s Vegas residency.
Datuk Hamidin Mohd Amin, Paris Olympics chef de mission, has confirmed that the results will be unveiled to the public soon.
Speaking more about the vision, he said:
“It will be baju Melayu themed and it will have a traditional concept. We have finalised the design and will be revealing it to the public in the nearest time.”
The Paris 2024 opening ceremony will take place on 27 July, and the Malaysian contingent will consist of 26 athletes: 15 males and 11 females.
We can’t wait to see how fabulous the athletes are going to look in these mysterious designer pieces!
