Kids can be mean, especially towards people and things that they have not been exposed to, such as different lifestyles or the differently-abled community.

Hence is why it is important for parents to educate their children about having compassion for others who are less fortunate than they themselves are.

An example of why this is vital is showcased by Yusrinayusoff98, who took to her TikTok account to share how her young daughter had come home from school crying her eyes out as her schoolmates had made fun of her differently-abled younger brother.

Bully 1 2

She wrote, “Today, Haris’s sister came home from school crying because her friends at school insulted her brother’s disabilities, bent legs, that we’re underprivileged people and stupid. Ya Allah, no manners at such a young age. What a pity.”

In the short video, the poor little girl was crying uncontrollably, breaking the hearts of netizens.

Yusrinayusoff98 later updated that she had met with the school’s authorities who will conduct an internal investigation into the matter.

Bully 2 2

In the meantime, she urges parents to educate their kids on the harms of bullying.

“To parents, please advise your children not to commit mental bullying against their own peers.”

“Because not everyone is in that student’s situation. A student who has been hit by great challenges, who also did not ask to be in this situation“, she added.

In order for our future generations to be better people, parents have to step in to educate them from a young age to be compassionate and kind.
