We all know that escalators can be dangerous and could cause serious injuries to both adults and kids, but did you know elevators can also do the same?
A recent video on a Facebook page, went viral when a little girl experienced a tragic accident and got badly injured as she was playing in the elevator.

Apparently, the doctors in an emergency room were informed by the parents that they were in the elevator with their daughter and she was playfully hitting and leaning her hands on the closed elevator doors.
However, when the doors opened, the little girl didn’t react fast enough and since her hands were so small, the doors carried her hands right into the door cracks. OMG, that is frightening!

The post said, “The parents told me her little hands started gushing blood on the spot and they blamed themselves so much that I (the doctor) didn’t have the heart to chastise them further. The girl’s hands had sustained heavy injury and the tendons were broken. She went into surgery where I tried to repair them but the damage had already been done.”
“Her condition was stabilised, but there is a big possibility that the functions of her hands would be affected in the future.”

The post concludes with a warning to other parents, “Please be aware of this tragedy so that no similar accidents will happen in the future. When in an elevator, please keep your child tightly by your side and never let them go near the door!”
Be careful, parents! Keep your child close by your sides at all times!
