Based on the caption of the video, Lim was on his way to Kuching, presumably to campaign for the upcoming general election when he ran into the woman who’s the wife of a soldier. She was carrying a backpack and a baby in her arms.

That’s when CM Lim offered much-needed assistance to the woman by carrying the big luggage down the stairs. He even pulled the bag all the way to the AirAsia plane while having a friendly conversation with the mother.

Here’s the video.

The heartwarming video was shared over 2,600 times at the time of writing, with many netizens sharing their personal encounter with CM Lim too.

Some netizens also highlighted that they’ve never seen other ministers actually helping the people, and if they do, it’s always in front of a group of reporters. As expected, there were also a few salty netizens who claimed that it was a pre-planned scenario and that it was all just wayang for the coming election.

Judging by the comments on the video, it’s safe to say that majority of the netizens love him and wish he’d continue his good work as the chief minister of Penang for the next five years. Kipidap CM Lim!
