Lights Off & Loud Music Blasting – PDRM Sergeant Allegedly Arrested for Hosting Party at IPD Shah Alam

A police sergeant was allegedly arrested on Saturday (September 28) at 1:30am for hosting a party in the lounge area of the Anti-Vice, Gambling and Secret Societies division (D7) at the Shah Alam Police District Headquarters.

According to a report by China Press, the sergeant had not only turned off the lights and blasted loud music in the lounge area, but also brought in 4 guests, 2 locals, a man and a woman, and 2 Indonesian women, for the party. The table in the room was also filled with various snacks, pastries and drinks.

The arrest apparently came after PDRM’s Integrity and Standards Compliance unit had raided the room during the party. However, they found no traces of alcohol or illegal substances such as drugs.

When the raid took place, it was said that the loud music could be heard from outside the lounge area and that one of the 2 doors leading to the lounge was locked.

All 5 people, which includes the Sergeant and his 4 guests, were arrested.

Speaking to Oriental Daily, the Shah Alam District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Mohammad Iba, confirmed the incident but did not disclose further details as the police are currently conducting an internal investigation.
