There’s a very, very good reason why motorcycle street racing is illegal and Mat Rempit culture is severely frowned upon in Malaysia.

Because the actions of Mat Rempits on the road are extremely dangerous and can cause harm to both themselves and other road users.

An example of this is a video recently shared by MALAYSIA MOST VIRAL, showcasing a motorcyclist who got their leg torn off in an accident during an illegal street race somewhere in Malaysia.

Accident 1

MALAYSIA MOST VIRAL wrote, “Rempit-ing, with your leg getting torn off you’re automatically OKU, you’ll be wasting taxpayer money. These kids are a nuisance.”

In the video, broken motorcycle parts could be seen spewed across the road.

The victim was lying on the road with a group of people trying to comfort him.

Accident 2

Nearby the victim, what looks like a severed foot could be seen lying on the road.

Many have since taken to the post to speculate that the severed leg might be a prosthetic, though this is not confirmed.

Accident 3

Do stay tuned for updates on whether or not the severed leg is real.
