Over the past week, Malaysians have waited in anticipation for announcements from governing authorities concerning the state of our nation given the rapidly rising trend of Covid-19 cases in our country. And tonight will be no different.

The Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah just announced that he will deliver a special message at 8pm tonight, on live telecast which can be watched on RTM and TV3, following reports from NST.

It is a known fact that Sultan Abdullah is concerned about the lack of compliance Malaysians have shown towards the Movement Control Order when he expressed this sentiment in an Instagram post via Istana_Negara’s account today.

Despite the deployment of a police task force to strictly monitor Malaysians on this matter, there are still many who ignore the significance of the order and its effectiveness in curbing the viral outbreak that has now made its way to our waters. The King was also recently spotted today alongside the PDRM team, visiting several roadbloack sites around Kuala Lumpur to assess the situation for himself.
