Following the resounding success of the iconic Lexis Hibiscus, KL Metro Group proudly announces the groundbreaking of its latest prestigious project – Lexis Hibiscus 2 in Port Dickson. This momentous event marks the beginning of construction for what promises to be an iconic addition to Malaysia’s luxury hospitality landscape.

Situated adjacent to the acclaimed Lexis Hibiscus resort, the new development spans an impressive 80-acres and promises to be a grander, more luxurious extension, setting new standards in hospitality and design, further enhancing Malaysia’s status as a premier destination for both leisure and business tourism.

LHPD2 Ground Breaking Ceremony

With a Gross Development Value (GDV) of RM1.6 billion, Lexis Hibiscus 2 will feature 1,710 exquisite units including 910 stunning water homes, and 800 elegant sky pool suites in two high-rise blocks, that collectively form the shape of Malaysia’s national flower, the Hibiscus. This ambitious project is set to outshine its predecessor in both scale and grandeur, offering each unit a private pool to ensure unparalleled tropical tranquility and luxury.

Scheduled for completion by mid-2029, Lexis Hibiscus 2 is a strategic joint venture between KL Metro Group and Menteri Besar Incorporated (the investment arm of the Negeri Sembilan State Government). This collaboration builds on the proven success and outstanding track record of the original Lexis Hibiscus.

The groundbreaking ceremony was officiated by the esteemed YAB Dato’ Seri Utama Haji Aminuddin, Chief Minister of Negeri Sembilan. He was joined by notable dignitaries including Dato’ Haji Mat Hassan Esa, Chairman of Kuala Lumpur Metro Group; Dato’ Low Tak Fatt, Managing Director of Kuala Lumpur Metro Group; Dato’ Yap Chuan Thai, Executive Director of Kuala Lumpur Metro Group; and Dato’ Prof. Mandy Chew Siok Cheng, President of Lexis Hotel Group.

A Vision for Tourism and Economic Growth

Building on the success of its predecessor, Lexis Hibiscus 2 aims to exceed expectations, reinforcing Port Dickson’s status as a premier destination for tourism, luxury vacations and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions) events, attracting both domestic and international visitors. This five-star resort is expected to attract 1.1 million tourists annually, with about half of these visitors coming from overseas. This influx is projected to create 5,000 jobs during its development, construction, and operational phases, providing a substantial economic boost to the local community.

Dato’ Low Tak Fatt, Managing Director of KL Metro Group, expressed his enthusiasm, “Lexis Hibiscus 2 is a testament to our dedication to creating unique and unforgettable experiences for our guests. We are committed to pushing the boundaries of luxury and hospitality, and this project is a significant step towards achieving that vision”.

Elevating Luxury and Comfort

Lexis Hibiscus 2 will set a new benchmark in luxury and comfort, with each unit featuring superior interior design, refined room layouts, and exceptional finishes. Unlike the studio units of its predecessor, Lexis Hibiscus 2 offers two separate bedrooms, providing greater privacy and comfort. The overall built-up areas, including private pools, will be larger, ensuring a more spacious and comfortable stay.

The resort will host an array of exceptional facilities including a water fountain, aquarium, multiple swimming pools, a kids centre, games room, gym and sauna, diverse dining options from local and western to Japanese, sky bars, sky decks, an executive lounge, multiple event venues including a multi-purpose hall, function rooms, ballroom and auditorium; as well as a helipad, jetty and the iconic Hibiscus Walk.
