With the second wave of the Covid-19 outbreak upon us, more and more cases are being reported every day. The Ministry of Health is trying their best to curb the situation and are providing daily updates so that only verified information is being shared. Yesterday, the Ministry of Health tweeted the latest update regarding the outbreak in Malaysia.
Nine new positive cases have been reported, which brings the total number of cases in Malaysia to 158. Six patients have been cured and were allowed to return to their homes. This brings up the total number of recovery cases to 32.

In their statement, KKM clarified that the 158 patients’ details are as follow:
- 26 patients were detected among the Covid-19 Patient-Under-Investigation group
- 127 cases were from close contact
- Two cases were among the Severe Acute Respiratory Infection (SARI) group through a Covid-19 survey
- One case was among the Influenza-Like Illness (ILI) group through a Covid-19 survey
- Another two cases were from a Humanitarian Aid Mission
There are currently 3 patients admitted to the Intensive Care Unit to receive the aid of breathing apparatuses. They are reported to be in stable condition. The Ministry of Health again reminds everyone to not spread any fake news during these trying times.
