PPV vaccination centres across the country will be open their doors to those who want to get vaccinated on a ‘walk-in’ basis once all registered individuals have received their Covid-19 vaccines.

The statement was recently confirmed by the Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) for the Covid-19 National Immunisation Program (PICK), Khairy Jamaluddin himself, during a press conference after the Kelantan State Level Covid-19 National Immunisation Programme Committee meeting.

“The government expected the vaccination process to be completed by the end of this year or earlier,” he said.

Once all registered individuals have received their vaccinations, those who haven’t gotten vaccinated will be allowed to walk into their respective PPV vaccination centres and receive their Covid-19 vaccines without having to register in advance, as reported by Astro Awani.

“It’s unfair to open the walk-in basis now since there are [still] individuals who have registered but haven’t gotten any appointment dates so we will prioritise the ones who have registered first,” he added.

Hopefully, more individuals will have their chance to be vaccinated with this initiative.
