Even in the line of duty, our local police officers still have enough compassion and empathy to spare to lend a hand to the less fortunate in these trying times – a fact that has been proven time and time again. And it is exactly these little heartwarming stories that continue to give us hope, such as this one reported by Harian Metro.

Just recently, a mother and her infant child were spotted by the public wandering aimlessly around the Rawang area, seemingly with no place to go. Given the current state of the Movement Control Order, many from the public were no doubt surprised by the fact that someone, more so a woman with an infant, would be out and about during this time.

Alerting the local police, the authorities then sent two policemen out to investigate the matter, namely Corporal Mohamad Razif Bin Suhaimi and Lance Corporal Mohd Rafie Bin Kundul. Upon finding them both, the kind-hearted police officers took it upon themselves to help them, buying them food and a pack of diapers for the baby.

One of the policemen even fed the toddler himself, making sure that the child didn’t go hungry!

It is believed that the woman had been suffering from depression, which led to her wandering the streets with her child, and she has since been returned home safely to her own family. However, no good deed goes unnoticed, and this touching story has since caught the attention of Malaysians all over social media, praising the officers for their kindness in conducting their duties.

To these policemen, we offer our greatest thanks and salute you for showing such kindness during these difficult times.
