Something incredibly hilarious just happened on Twitter earlier this afternoon, and it was all thanks to our very own Youth and Sports Minister, Khairy Jamaluddin.
A minister admired by many, especially among Malaysian millennials, he has without a doubt managed to stay hip and is really savvy with social media too.
However, one of his most recent tweets garnered the attention of young Malaysians, many of them wondering whether or not he was serious.
In his tweet, the minister asked his followers why some people refer to him as ‘daddy’ on social media, and whether it meant something specific among millennials.
Needless to say, loads of Malaysians got down to business and made sure to inform him what this ‘daddy’ word means.
Some even tried to explain what ‘daddy’ truly meant, attempting to provide a proper explanation.
However, other netizens’ minds went straight into the gutter, making the whole situation even more hilarious (and incredibly awkward) than it already is!
This is our personal favourite by the way!
Others however, were not convinced that he was that clueless about what it really meant.
Meanwhile, everyone else is just enjoying the hilarity on their Twitter feeds.
If you ask us, we can’t tell whether his tweet was serious either, but we’re definitely enjoying everyone’s reactions to this! Bring on the daddy jokes.
What a great way to bring up everyone’s spirits right before Hari Raya, too!
