Member of Parliament for Kepong, Lim Lip Eng, recently took to social media to highlight the worsening traffic congestion in the district.
Traffic in the Klang Valley has long been notorious for its chaotic conditions, especially during peak hours when commuters are traveling to and from work. Depending on the destination, the journey can take up to several hours.

For illustration purposes only
Lim pointed out that it takes a staggering 1.5 hours to travel from Kepong to Subang Jaya—a distance of just 26 kilometres. He added that the situation is even worse for those who leave earlier, noting that a 7 am departure from Kepong to Subang could take up to 2 hours.
In response to growing frustration over the severe traffic, Lim called for immediate action to address the issue.
“A liveable city must do better!” he remarked on Facebook.

Many social media users were surprised that it took Lim this long to raise the issue, with some arguing that, as the elected representative, he should be proposing concrete solutions.

One netizen suggested several ways to improve traffic in Kepong, including restricting heavy vehicles during certain hours.
