How are the students going to be reacting to this?
Education Minister, Dr Radzi Jidin announced today (28 April) that PT3 examinations for the year 2021 will be cancelled due to time constraints for the students who won’t have enough time to study. The decision was made after careful discussion with the Education Ministry.
The minister added that this due to the fact that students don’t have enough time to perform face-to-face learning. For the students who wish to continue on to Form 4 in boarding schools, they will have to take a special evaluation exam.
He also added that UPSR will be abolished permanently starting this year. For primary school students, they will have to undergo school-based evaluation and if they wish to enter certain boarding schools, they’re also entitled to take a special evaluation exam.
