In his latest live telecast to the nation today (5th June 2020), Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has announced that the government will be releasing a new short term economic stimulus plan, called PENJANA, which will focus on addressing 40 different initiatives. The initiative is expected to cost the government upwards of RM35 billion.
One of the initiatives will be to encourage employers to take in the currently unemployed Malaysians and OKUs.
- Employers who hire unemployed Malaysians over the age of 40 & OKU Malaysians will receive RM1,000 for 6 months per worker
- Employers who hire unemployed Malaysians under the age of 40 will receive RM800 for 6 months per worker
This is to ease the lives of the rakyat and also the employers.
