May the deceased rest in peace.
According to a Facebook post by Health Director-General Dr. Noor Hisham Abdullah, another death has occurred due to the Covid-19 coronavirus, bringing the total to 15 deaths.
The deceased is identified as case-1519, a 71-year-old Malaysian man from Melaka.
He is suspected to be a contact case – which means that he had contact with someone who was tested positive for Covid-19. In his case, he allegedly had contact with case-703 who went to the Sri Petaling tabligh event.
The deceased has a history of chronic illness and was treated in the Sultanah Fatimah Hospital in Muar starting 18 March 2020. He passed away this morning (24th March) at 5.35am.
Thoughts and prayers go out to the deceased and his family.
On another note, the Ministry of Health advises everyone to stay home, stay hygienic and to abide by the Movement Control Order. 15 deaths are already enough and we would not want to see more casualties. #StayAtHome
