Malaysia has recorded an added 106 Covid-19 cases bringing the total number of cases in the country to 1,624 as of 24th March.
According to the Ministry of Health, of those 106 cases, 43 were from the remaining tabligh cluster while the other 63 cases are still undergoing investigation as to where they contracted the virus from.
64 patients are reported to be in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) including 24 patients who require breathing assistance.

The ministry also reported that 24 more patients have recovered and been discharged bringing the total number of people discharged to 183, which is 11.3% of the total number of cases.
The country also recorded its 15th death earlier this afternoon (24th March). The patient is case-1519, a 71-year-old Malaysian man from Melaka.
He is suspected to be a contact case who allegedly came into contact with case-703 who went to the Sri Petaling tabligh event.
The deceased has a history of chronic illness and was treated in the Sultanah Fatimah Hospital in Muar starting 18 March 2020. He passed away this morning (24th March) at 5.35am.
