Malaysia has recorded 235 new Covid-19 cases as of 12pm today (26 March), which is the highest daily spike in the country to date. This brings the total number of cases in the country to 2,031.
Of the 235 cases, 60 are from the Sri Petaling tabligh gathering cluster while the rest are still under investigation.
45 patients are currently in the intensive care unit including 32 patients who need breathing assistance.

The Ministry of Health also reported the 21st death in the country, who is a 63-year-old citizen with a history of chronic illness. He is said to be case 1,588 and was at the tabligh gathering.
Meanwhile, a total of 215 patients have recovered and been discharged so far.
