As the Road Transportation Department (JPJ) continues to play its role in hunting down traffic offenders during Ops Hari Raya Aidilfitri 2022 (OPS HRA 2022) this festive season, offenders involved in speeding, using the emergency lane and more will be slapped with heavy fines and court action.

One such operation took place yesterday in Penang, as JPJ officers began their crackdown on offenders that jump queues at traffic stops.

Sharing a snippet of the operation via the JPJ Pulau Pinang Facebook page, the officer on duty posted a video warning road users to not cut queues. This, of course, scored brownie points with Malaysian road users who praised the strict action.

“Serve these people right. This is what you get for cutting queues. I hope the JPJ will issue heavy fines and the biggest compounds.”

Let’s hope that these offenders will make take the summonses as a lesson to not become traffic offenders in the future. What do you guys think? Share your thoughts with us in the comments!
