Sometimes, we can be forgetful and overlook the important details. A family of 5 who dined at a restaurant in JB recently have allegedly forgotten to pay their bill.

According to the Facebook post by the restaurant, the family of 5 visited the restaurant on Friday (December 15) and left around 1:06 pm, with the bill amounting to RM108.75 unsettled. The management, however, did not jump to the conclusion immediately. To their predictions, the family may have overlooked the matter, and it may have slipped their mind.

“It was the parents and their 3 daughters. Our guess is the father and the daughters went to the washroom, believing that the mother had paid the bill. Or, the mother thought the man had paid the bill after coming out from the washroom, so they left,” they wrote.

The management has yet to reveal any CCTV footage or a picture of the receipt as they did not want to make any accusations.

In another post last night (December 16), the management of the restaurant also clarified that they had no idea their post would go viral on social media. Their intention was merely to remind the family about the unpaid bill of RM108.75.

“We don’t want to jump to any conclusions. Perhaps, it was just like our predictions. They may have forgotten.”

At the time of writing (December 17), the family has yet to contact the restaurant about the bill. However, the management is unlikely to take any action regardless of the family’s decision.

“Even if they don’t contact us, we believe the matter should end here.”

We hope the bill will be settled soon.
