Like any major city in the world, Jakarta is no stranger to lengthy traffic and congestions. But this time, the intersection of the south-east Asian city is piling up on traffic for a rather unsuspected reason … free porn!!!
Yes, you have read that right! Someone broadcasted porn on an LED video screen billboard smack in the middle of the major intersection of Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, reported Coconuts Jakarta.
News of the broadcasted blue film is taking the world by storm and it, of course, is having everyone amused. From the actors in the exotic film and the label above the clip, the x-rated recording has been identified as the infamous Japanese porn. O-la-la…
It is unknown how long the pornographic clip was displayed on the LED billboard (often referred to as Videotron) along the Antasari flyover but witnesses have mentioned that it aired over 5 minutes before it was unfortunately shut down. But one thing’s for sure, it has sure entertained ‘victims’ of the already crawling traffic.
Power supply to the billboard was eventually cut at 2.45pm bringing the theatrics to an end. But is that a protest of people wanting more we hear?
“We received the report and we immediately severed the electricity to there,” stated Mr Potong Stim, Ady Wiryono Lestari, head of public relations for South Jakarta via Kompas.
Funnily enough, the screen was situated right in front of the South Jakarta Mayor’s office.
The culprit behind the public stunt is yet to be identified. Authorities have announced that investigations are currently underway to find those responsible. Many are enquiring if the screening had been a simple mistake, but heavy speculations are suggesting that it had to be deliberate and meditated.
Citizens are equally amused and confused over what’s going on
“[Videotrons of that size] are overseen by the Jakarta Tax Department, not the city. Third party content providers manage content as licensed by the tax authorities,” said Lestari.
However, it’s more likely that a huge troll may have penetrated the firewall and hack into the system.
Either way, it probably did the citizens a favour by keeping them from falling asleep during their drive in the massive traffic!
