It’s official! Malaysia will be hosting the 2027 SEA Games!
In a press statement by Youth and Sports Minister Hannah Yeoh, the Ministry of Youth and Sports (KBS) announced that the government has agreed to accept the Southeast Asian Games Federation (SEAGF’s) offer to host the 2027 SEA Games.
She wrote, “SEA Games 2027 is ON! Kuala Lumpur, Sarawak, Sabah and Penang.”
The statement revealed that Sarawak, Sabah and Penang had previously expressed their readiness to use their respective allocations to be co-sponsors with Kuala Lumpur.
Did you know that the last time Malaysia hosted the SEA Games was in 2017?
With how well Sarawak handled the recent Sukma Games, we can’t wait to see what these states have in store for the 2027 SEA Games.
