Indonesian Teenager Throws Cat From Hilltop For The Sake Of Social Media Content

Social media is becoming a worrisome place, especially because people are willing to do crazy and dangerous things in order to gain fame on online platforms.

What makes this worse is that they’re willing to endanger the lives of others in order to do it.

The Murung Raya police department took to their Instagram to showcase how an Indonesian boy had thrown a cat from a hill top for the sake of social media content and entertainment, before crying in remorse for his actions upon his arrest.

They wrote, “Recently, a viral video showed a teenager throwing a cat from a height. Sadly, he did it for the sake of social media content. As seen in the video, a man in white is seen throwing the cat while his friends were engrossed in recording. Before finally falling, the cat seemed to have flown very high.”

The Murung Raya police shared that the condition of the cat is still unknown.

The perpetrator and a friend were soon arrested.

“When questioned by the police, the two teenagers shrank and cried. They apologized and promised not to repeat their actions again. The police then provided guidance to the perpetrators,” the Murung Raya police added.

We genuinely hope that the boys learned their lesson, as endangering the lives of others, including animals, for the sake of social media clout is truly unacceptable.
