Kuantan, you really got the attention now after the viral episode of Jujutsu Kaisen that mentioned Kuantan as Nanami’s bucket list.

However, some people are not so happy with the attention that Kuantan is getting. In the Facebook group of Jujutsu Kaisen Indonesia – JKKI, an Indonesian fan voiced out against the anime’s decision to mention Kuantan, Pahang in the episode.

According to the fan, it’s merely a “fan service” in which Bali could’ve been chosen to be mentioned in the episode.

The viral post, however, has been removed.

Indonesian fans, however, agreed with the fan’s frustration because according to them, Malaysia has been mentioned in the comic book version of the anime.

Malaysian fans on the Facebook page, however, were on board with the idea of Kuantan being mentioned as Nanami’s place to visit before his death. This is because KL has always been the main attraction of Malaysia, and many believe that it’s time for Kuantan, or a place outside KL to get attention.

Yesterday, it was reported that the Pahang state government is in talks with the creators of Jujutsu Kaizen to get an endorsement from the creators to build a memorial in Kuantan, in an effort to boost tourism in Kuantan.

Fans of anime around the world, what do you think of this?
