What do you do when you know you’re late for an important event and WON’T make it in time due to traffic? A student in India who had only 15 minutes left until his exam managed to beat traffic by paragliding to his exam venue.

A video of the student in the air circulated on social media recently and according to Times of India, the student only knew that he was about to be late when he received a call from his friend, who was wondering why he had not made it to the exam venue.

The clock was ticking and it seemed impossible for college student Samarth Mahangde to reach the exam venue in 15 minutes if he were to travel by car. He was 15 kilometres away from his exam venue.

So, he rushed to Govind Yewale, a local paragliding expert, and sought help from the latter. Govind agreed to help Samarth paraglide to his destination but not before a good scolding.

It took Samarth only 5 minutes to reach the exam venue

Samarth reached JUST IN TIME. The question papers had already been handed out to the students but fortunately, he was still allowed to enter the exam hall.

However, this was not the case of a forgetful or irresponsible student but rather a mere misunderstanding as Samarth was not notified of the changes in the exam schedule. If it weren’t for his friends, Samarth may have missed the paper entirely.

During the incident, Samarth was working and said he was working and studying at the same time to support his family.

If you’re late to an important event, what would you do assuming the road is not an option?
