This might be one mistake that the student will never forget and it will probably keep them up in the wee hours of the morning in the future.
A student took to USM (Universiti Sains Malaysia) Confession’s page on Facebook to share an honest mistake that they made when they were looking for a person to join their group for an assignment.
The screenshot that was submitted shows a Telegram chat on 22 March between a student and another person named “W”. The student asks “W” if they have a group and in less than 10 minutes, W responds by saying:
“I’m your lecturer.”
Undoubtedly feeling embarrassed, the student then says: “Hahah halo Dr!”
The caption of the post reads: “This is how difficult it is to find a group mate.” The screenshot has since gone viral with 2,500 shares in only seven hours and many netizens said that recruiting the lecturer as a groupmate in an assignment is a strategic move.
With the pandemic still ongoing and some universities still not permitting students to return to physical classes, it is inevitable that situations like this will happen as some of us don’t even know how our coursemates look like!
We hope that the student managed to find a good coursemate who will pull their weight during this semester!
