Malaysian blogger and influencer, Cik Epal recently had a lot to say about her ex-husband’s Wagyu Pizza business that allegedly failed to pay taxes to the Inland Revenue Board (LHDN).
Cik Epal’s ex-husband, Jofliam broke the silence this morning (November 12) and responded to all of his ex-wife’s allegations, and said he has never missed paying taxes and practices due diligence.
In a quick recap, Cik Epal said that Jofliam’s Wagyu Pizza business makes around RM600,000 in sales a month, and the employees each receive a daily salary of up to RM1,500. She also said that her ex-husband’s business ONLY accepts cash and no digital transactions are allowed.
“I’m done with the taxes of previous years but for 2023…”
In his Instagram story @jofliam, the man said that he had paid his taxes to LHDN for 2022 and the years before that. However, Jofliam said that he is still paying the taxes for 2023, and he has always had a helping hand who sorts out these financial matters for him.
“The taxes for 2023 has to be settled by 2024, and we’re still in 2024. So, chill guys. We’re still doing the calculations because my businesses are based on events.”
Jofliam also said that he’s proud to be an “Anak Malaysia.”
Jofliam added that he will visit his secretary tomorrow (Wednesday, November 13) to sort out the matter and explain the situation. The ex-husband of Cik Epal also graciously shared some receipts every time he needed to spend on making pizzas.
“I want people to enjoy after they spend RM150 on my pizza.”
Earlier, in her series of Instagram posts, Cik Epal urged LHDN to investigate Jofliam’s Wagyu Pizza business for allegedly not paying taxes. Yesterday, Cik Epal also announced that she is running her own pizza business to help the former employees who were sacked from Jofliam’s Wagyu Pizza.
Jofliam and Cik Epal divorced in October this year after a decade of marriage. They have 2 children together.
